Policies

Payment

1. Orders $5000.00 or Less: - Full payment required with submission of signed and returned formal quote, customer’s formal purchase order or an email clearly stating Quote is Approved” noting specific estimate number.

2. Orders between $5000.00 and $150,000.00: - One half (1/2) deposit required with submission of signed and returned formal quote, customer’s formal purchase order or an email clearly stating “Quote is Approved” noting specific estimate number. Payment is due in full prior to delivery - Client is encouraged to come to our shop to see the piece prior to delivery.

3. Orders greater than $150,000.00 One Half (50%) deposit required with submission of signed and returned formal quote, customers formal purchase order or an email clearly stating "Quote is Approved" noting specific estimate number. - Second deposit of (25%) progress billing is the halfway point. - Remaining (25%) balance due prior to delivery or immediately after installation.

4. Invoices with multiple line items with different install or delivery dates. Individual line items installed or delivered non concurrently, payments for each item are due prior to delivery or immediately after install.

5. All Products being shipped must be Paid In Full prior to shipping.

6. Upon completion of furniture piece, Acht Studio will store the time at no charge for a period of up to 2 weeks from the date the piece is deemed complete and ready for delivery. If delivery has not occurred within the initial two week complimentary storage period, extended storage fees will apply as follows: 1) $75 dollars per week per piece of furniture, Plus applicable HST. 2) Fees begin accruing at the start of the third week following completion. 3) Storage fees are calculated on a weekly basis (partial weeks are billed as full weeks). These fees will continue to accrue until the furniture is delivered or otherwise removed from storage. ALL ACCRUED STORAGE FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL PRIOR TO, OR AT THE TIME OF, DELIVERY UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED TO IN WRITING. If written communication (email or other documented form) is received from the client before fabrication has begun, requesting a delay to the delivery date, Acht Studio will postpone fabrication to align with the revised delivery schedule. In such cases: 1) No storage fees will be incurred. 2) The revised delivery date will become the new target completion and Delivery date. Once fabrication has commenced, this provision no longer applies.

Delivery and Lead Times

Acht Studio can estimate delivery and lead time when quote is issued. However, Delivery and lead times can vary based on current project pipeline based on from the point of quote issued to time of quote approved by client. Acht Studio will meet the designer, architect or contractors specifications based on the approved shop drawings that would have been reviewed and approved by client.

Installation

Acht Studio is not to be held liable for damages on agreed install. All items for installation are based on standard home guide sizing. Home owner will not be refunded if he/she has not specified building material that may inherently affect the installed product functionality.

Shipping

When possible, we always like to deliver the products ourselves. It allows us to ensure proper handling of the product, in-home assembly, and a chance to meet our clients in person.

Our standard delivery rate for in-house delivery is $150 plus $2.50/km from our shop to the destination (one way base price for one piece of furniture). Each additional piece of furniture is $50. If a more complex install is required, pricing will be quoted per job.

For longer distances, we use a white glove delivery service. The items are carefully crated and picked up from our shop and delivered to the destination. In some cases, we can also offer white glove assembly. Shipping is quoted on a case-by-case basis, as each project and location is unique.

Design Accuracy

Acht Studio reserves the right for measurement accuracy +/- 5cm of specified invoiced dimensions & to alter product design to improve structural stability or for any unforeseen issues.

Wood Movement

Great consideration has gone into our furniture designs to reduce the affects of warping, real wood products are hygroscopic in nature; they will readily absorb and expel moisture from the atmosphere. Ambient changes in temperature and humidity can cause expansion or contraction in wood products. these dimensional changes may result in cracking, splintering, warping and/or other defects; all of which are considered an intrinsic risk of wood products and are not claimable defects. Acht Studio. requires all clients to maintain a constant 35%-45% interior humidity level to avoid deformation of products. Acht Studio is not liable for any deformations while in the clients possession.

Staining

Acht Studio is not liable for shade and or colour variances due to the nature of natural wood. Stain samples will be provided upon client request prior to starting the project. Colour variances of any form is not a claimable defect. Custom stain matches are not guaranteed without a stain number.

Table Spotting

Once item is in client possession, Pomous Fox Wood Company Inc. is not liable for any spotting or staining that may occour as a side-affect from uv staining, sun fade, chemical cleaning, or any other adverse external factors.

General Warranty

Acht Studio will cover any structural issues that arise within one year of delivery. any structural issue caused via misuse or improper care will not be covered.

During the limited warranty period, Acht Studio will repair or replace, at no charge, products or parts of a product that proves to be defective at no cost.

Return Policy

As all orders are made to order and/or custom, Acht Studio does not accept returns.
