Welcome to Acht Studio
For the past several years, Pompous Fox Wood Co. has had the privilege of creating custom furniture for designers, architects, and homeowners who value craftsmanship, longevity, and thoughtful design.
As the studio evolved, it became clear that the original name no longer fully reflected the direction of the company. Today, the work has grown into a broader, more design-driven practice focused on architectural furniture and bespoke pieces across wood, metal, and upholstery for residential, commercial, and design-led spaces.
The transition to Acht Studio reflects that evolution. Acht, pronounced Awkt, means eight in German and symbolizes balance, continuity, and endurance — ideas that align closely with how we approach furniture: considered pieces designed to last.
While the name has changed, the foundation remains the same: the same commitment to collaboration, solid construction, and custom-made work. Existing and past projects completed under Pompous Fox Wood Co. remain an important part of our story and are now carried forward under Acht Studio.
As our studio has grown in tangible ways, we also wanted our digital presence to reflect that growth. The new website has been redesigned to better represent who we are today and how we show up for clients, partners, and the design community. It offers a more immersive view of our work through expanded project storytelling, imagery, and video, while also giving a clearer picture of our values: Intelligent Craft, Creative Partnership, Material Curiosity, and Built to Last.
